My pal Kenny bought these 900-10s on split
rims a couple of years ago. I don't know why
or where he got them. Both the rims and
tires are like new.
I had seen them before but never paid much
attention to them.
I bought new 14" implement rims for my 3000
maybe 15 years ago. Have been running cheesy
car radials on it ever since.
The trouble was I wanted wider tires but
couldn't because the tires would rub the
spindles and I didn't want to reverse the
rims. See first photo for the rub.
So I tried these on my tractor and liked
them and bought them from him yesterday.
Note that though the tires are 9" wide
there's still about 3/4" clearance between
the tire and spindle.
The tires are TEN PLY!
A guy can wreck even a 10 ply tire but doubt
you'd ever wear these out.
I'm happy this morning and thought I'd pass
the info along. A guy wouldn't find a set
like this every day but if you do they would
make great loader tires and will fit the
front on a whole Lot of Fords - probably
everything from an 8N through a 7000.
I think I'll post this on the Ford board
too.

Jerry;
Size and looks of those tires/wheels, remind me of 'Four tours' in VN, and off-loading cargo ships, with parts for the air strips.
Those look like/sim. to, tires the military used on the 'light planes....(spotters,( 'Bird dog Cessnas).?????

Just a guess!!

Nice tires for FEL work or mowing on steep ground. Are they from an LCG?

Your tractor should use less fuel since it will be going downhill all of the time.
