900 case heads

I am looking for some info on the difference between a 900 head and a 1070 head. I'll try and give a brief summary on what I'm
trying to do. I'm building a case pulling tractor and have the option of a 400 rear end and transmission coupled to a 1030 451
engine or I have a complete 900 tractor. I have a set of diesel heads off of a 1070 that have been drilled and tapped for spark
plugs also have a distributor set up to go where injection pump is. I really would prefer to use the 900 but don't kno if the heads I
have will fit that block. This may be the wrong forum for this question but everyone on here seems very knowledgeable on case
and in the pulling world sometimes that can be tough to find. Thank all of you so much for any help or info

The bolt pattern is smaller on the 900 block than the 1070 head pattern, also the 1070 uses 10 bolts, the 900 and 30 series use 9 bolts there is a big water hole in the top of the block where the 10th bolt would be.I did one of these years ago,it ran good

Roger Im sorry but I'm unsure on your response, so you were able to use the newer model heads? Also I wo have to worry about water my block will be hard blocked
