900 FORD ROW CROP

CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF A 900 FORD HAS A HYD. RELIEF VALVE AND WHERE IT IS LOCATED HAVING TROUBLE WITH IT BLOWING THE GASKET ON THE BACK END OF THE PISTON PUMP.
ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED. THANKS IN ADVANCE

The relief valve is located beneath the cover on the bottom of the tractor held in place by 5 bolts (and a dowel pin).

If you decide to change it, do yourself a big favor and order a new gasket from CNH. DO NOT use silicone or other goop.

Be advised that the aftermarket relief valves are of very poor quality and some (many? most?) do not open creating precisely the problem that you now have.

Any other unusual symptoms?

NO EVERYTHING ELSE IS WORKING FINE JUST BLOWING THAT GASKET AFTER SEVERAL HOURS OF RUN TIME USING THE 3 POINT HITCH. THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION ANY GOOD SOURCE FOR A GOOD REPLACEMENT VALVE?

I doubt that your problem is the relief valve but there is no way that I could know with confidence.

I would buy the valve from CNH when you order the replacement gasket for the cover.

Did you check the two surfaces that the gasket is supposed to seal to make sure that they were flat and true?

Also, typing in ALL CAPS on the internet is considered rude as it is usually only used when you are trying to make a point or intentionally want the other person to think that you are yelling at them.

Definitely not trying to upset anyone here that i am asking for help from sorry for the caps but i replace the plate on one side of the gasket the other side is the pump end housing and has a resessed mating surface.

If your problem started at that time, you've found your problem.

Most aftermarket parts are of very poor quality. Restore the OEM plate if possible.
