If the block is salvageable as a core then Alexander tractor parts out of TX would be your best option. Shortblock for 9000 is $5495 with $2000 core exchange. We are happy with our reman head and block from Alexander tractor for our 9000. Worthington ag parts might have a used engine for a 9000 if your core is totally shot.

Splitting the tractor and swapping in a reman engine is prtty easy if your handy. We did it without a service manual. Got the torque specs from the local Ford dealer.
