930 injection pump

I just picked up a 61 930 six speed. My question is where does the line from the bottom of the injection pump go to? This one is in the breeze

I would also like to add that when I try to shutdown the tractor it doesnt shut off, only goes down to an idle. I have to kick out the valves for shutdown. Otherwise runs great. Could the problem be in the governor? Ibe never had a pump apart before. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

That's an EARLY pump that's not engine oiled. The line is connected to the cam box overflow fitting. The throttle lever on the governor must be pushed forward to stop engine, if the linkage is not set right engine won't shut off.

I was told that when one changes the engine oil, the oil in this type of pump needs changed too. The oil is added by removing the cap at the top rear of the pump and the old oil drains out the overflow line hanging beneath as oil is added. Uses same oil as motor.

I have an early 830 w that style pump, I think there is a drain on the bottom of the governor housing. Also, on mine, which is factory, the drip line comes straight out the bottom down and makes a complete i'm gonna say a 1.5 inch circle then straight down a couple inches, that serves as a trap to keep dirt or moisture from entering the pump.

That line IS connected to the cam box overflow fitting, the fitting is roughly an inch long and upper end is where the excess fuel leak off fuel enters. Some fellows change the pump oil each time engine oil is changed, but once a year would be enough. The early inline pumps did not have ducted plungers, so some fuel will get into the cam/tappet area. Engine oiled pumps have the ducted plungers to help prevent fuel entering the cam box. All inline pumps will pass some fuel for lubrication but the amount is so small it's never seen on the dipstick UNLESS there's a problem with the plunger barrels or pump main housing.

(quoted from post at 22:49:59 12/16/22) Thanks guys for the help, now Ill figure out the linkage to get the old girl to shut down.
Is it possible that the pipe in the photo is from a later model that circulates engine oil to lube the pump. i have two 830's one with the recirculating lubed pump and one that you change the oil.
