930CK PTO question.

Dutsch

930 CK. So after rebuilding the PTO, replacing water pump, radiator, hoses, a belt, thermostats , shes been on active duty grinding hay and mixing. I completed about 8-9 batches until the other day a particularly tough bale stalled her out, killing engine. Restarted but the bale was a bit to dense to get it going and it seemed the PTO clutch lost all tension. Wouldnt stay engaged. Put another tractor on to finish. Today I retightened the PTO, taking about 12 clicks to get to a bit over 30 lbs and hooked up the grinder and she completed the job. Happy about that. Still nervous and curious how the PTO clutch got so loose. Anyone have any ideas? Like it jumped a whole thread as Im guessing I made near 1 revolution.

(quoted from post at 10:43:33 05/28/22) Had that happen on a 800...pin may not have been engaged all the way. Never happened again.

Oh, I hope so. But I had tightened previously myself, so I am sure the button was in, unless there is a way under a load it can pop out.
