941 ?

I have located a Ford that the owner says is a 941. It is a higher row crop design with wide front, not low profile, but not a high crop. It is a factory propane tractor with the dual gear shifts. It has factory power steering. Runs good needs to be painted, but other wise is original. Is it a 941? Is it a pretty common tractor? What should I expect to pay for it.

Explain the dual gear shifts better. Does it have a 4 speed that is between your legs when sitting on it and then a shifter on the left side just forward of the clutch pedal or are the shifters other places. If its as I said its probably a 941 if set up some other way probably not

SOunds like you found one with a high/low option. If it is a 941, it should have a 4 speed tanny. the high/low was an option, but is not on a lot of tractors. All the 900 series were row crops with final drives on the rear to raise the tractor, but they still had 28" tires. This tractor will not have live power. The 940 and 950 series did not, but the 960 series did. Prices run from lows of $2500 to highs of $4500 or more depending on condition and series. This one will be worth more since it has a wide front, but not as high as others as it is a propane model without the 5 speed and live power. www.external_link is a good place to look to get prices.

Thanks for all the input guys. It does have the high low shifter on the left. It also has some kind of sping out rims, not like the ACs with 6 ribs, but instead some kind of screw design. Where the whole wheel center screws the tire in and out. Yes it does have the drop final drives, direct pto and a full round front medallion. The power steering is a hyraulic cylinder connected to the steering arm on the right side. Sheetmetal is straight, but tach is broke and grill is missing. Motor runs excellent.

Inspect the rims carefully as the early Ford power adjust rims are no longer available anywhere and good used ones are EXPENSIVE.
