95 Regal Intake Plenum

Replacing the plenum on my 3.8. Would you trust after market ($68.00) or go OEM ($138.00) from Rock Auto?

Thank you,
Glenn F.

I put a Dorman on my 95 LeSabre. Didn't really see any problem and it has performed well. The EGR passage is beefed up I believe. Now the Dorman for the 4.6 Fords are less robust than the OEM and I would go OEM on a daily driver on those.

I put tons of the Dorman ones on at my shop, never an issue, and comes complete. GM does not include gaskets. Dorman plenum is also USA made last I put one on.

Dorman, make sure the EGR passages in the intake are clean.

I remember when they first started giving trouble GM's fix was to replace the upper and lower intake manifold. The upper in the $400 range and lower in the 4/600 range... It would eat a 1600 bill up...

I would go get the lower intakes gaskets and the valve gaskets while I was there... Along with the coolant tubes at the front of the intake...

I sure miss pump'N the coolant thru the intake manifold that was EZ money... If it has plastic fuel lines they are a P.I.T.A. to repair leaks at the connector...

I replaced my factory one at 70,000 junked the car due to rust at 198,000/ Ran so well it killed me to junk it but Massachusetts state inspection forced me to.I used the dormant plenium.
