965 John Deere Running Gear

I have a 965 John Deere running gear that i am
selling and i was wondering what the ton rating is
for the gear. I believe it is 8 or 10 ton. Thank

That wagon is not rated that heavy. A 1065A, made at the same time and the next size bigger, is rated at 7 ton at tractor speeds, possibly 8 with heavy duty tires. If memory serves me right I believe the 965 is rated at 5 ton. Mike

Yes, it is a 5 ton. I just found a forage equipment buyer's guide with the 965 listed from about 1978.
