966 brake problem

966 right brake pedal when I push it by itself goes all the way down and does not apply the break. But when I push both pedals together the right brake applies like normal. Could there be a seal or something blown in the brake pedal valve?

If, while pushing both at the same time, you keep pressure on the left pedal does the right pedal stay firm, or go down? I believe there is an equilizer valve that causes both to work when both are applied. JimJim

When i push both at same time they both are firm and brakes on both sides applying as normal. but if I only push the right brake the pedal goes way down and isn't applying the brake. Left brake works normal when pushed by itself.

Sounnds like you equalizer valve is the problem and it must be in that valve assembly under the platform with the pedal valves. So Would say you need to remove that whole casting to get at it. Never had a problem like that with our 1466 which is about the same thing.
