970 case engine change

Will an 8.3 liter cummins out of a newer case tractor fit in a 970 case or what would it take to make it happen

It would probably take more$$$$$$ than you are willing to spend. There are absolutely no similarities, between them other than being diesel engines.

does a 504 out of a 2670 or somethig else have something other than pencil injectors

To put a 8.3 Cummins in would be a lot of work and money. It would at;east take building a frame, an adapter plate, and a different flywheel and clutch. I know case did use heads with the "big" injectors, I just can"t say off the top of my head which models used them.

1570, 2670 and all 90 and 94 series 504's had the larger injectors.

I just put a 504 in my 1070 the guy I got it from has another one in a 2670 with 4300 hours and screw in injectors he priced it to me for 1000 dollars I can get u his number if you need it
