970 electrical issuse

i have an early 970 and was wondering if this would have a starter relay on it ? a new switch and starter rebuilt , still nothing . any in put would be appreciated . thank you

Neutral start switch ?

Straight 8 spd trans. needs the hi lo range lever in the neutral position.

If it is a Powershift hold the key in the start position and move the range lever (1-4) back and forth across neutral to see if the starter kicks in. I assume the same applies to the hi/lo lever on a gear drive 8 speed as casecollector said.
