970 powershift trouble

i recently rebuilt the powershift on a 970 case the tractor runs fine with the clutch in but when i release the clutch the tractor bogs down and kills it does it no matter what range the powershift is in i have already checked the valve body for stuck spools but no dice any help would be appreciated, jbakker

What about reverse? Sounds like you might have c4 clutch locked up somehow.

it sounds like tranny is in two gears at same time. it either is a stuck spool or a misassembly in one or more of the clutches.
espessialy the alinement of that part with the pistonrings on it that bolts to the planetary with the bores in it that directs the oil to the different clutches.it has some small o rings between.

i split the tractor and noticed that the c-4 clutch teeth didnt get hooked up on the clutch pack and was pinched in between the clutch piston and and clutch pack, thanks for the help
