Just had to post this great old threshing picture, wouldn't a guy have the world by the tail
back then with this tractor?

I know I really enjoy mine, but I'll enjoy it even more when I get the starter fixed. Hats of to the fellas that hand cranked these beasts all the time, they are a bear.

My 90 is certainly not a bear to start. Low compression KD, but it is a long lift on the handle. My 90 has always been a good starter. The farmer where I used to store it was always ?complaining? that the Ollie started easily, after sitting over winter, while all his old tractors needed a good deal of persuasion to get them going! When in regular use, it usually starts on 4th or 5th pull up on the handle.

Actually mine starts really good it just takes everything I have and then some to throw the crank. Only takes bout 3/4 turn and it'll run but that's not using proper hand crank technique. I gotta take the time to adjust the pegs for the hand crank so the crank can be at the 9 o'clock position.

My old 28-44 has no option for a starter and with the high altitude engine configuration it needs to start before 5 or 6 half cranks or you need to wait or get a friend to help haha
