Thanks for all the help. Problem was the Coil, causing weak spark. There is a difference between white and blue spark. Enjoyed installing new points on the kitchen counter. Carb rebuild pretty straight forward. Learned a lot hope I can remember a little.

I hope you have the correct coil and/or the correct ballast resistor(s) to limit primary ignition current to the "safe" 3 to 4 Amp range, or you will be back to the same problem after the coil has overheated enough times, and begins to break down.
