I have a 9N, the brakes hardly work on it at all,
the right brake works a little, it's like it doesn't catch? but when it's going in reverse i can step on the brake and it locks up that side and i can spin circles?
The brake on the left doesn't even push down, it just goes down like an inch or two and doesn't do anything?
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to fix them? I have a I.T Manual but it just tells how to adjust the pads which i have already done.
Thanks for any advice

You must have the 'Cliff Notes' version of the I&T FO4 manual. Mine has paragraph 137 which tells how to pull the wheels & check the brakes. Which is what you will need to do. They are probably oil soaked from leaking seals; if so, you will need to replace those as well.

This site has the I&T manuals.

You can buy an "auxilliary" braking system for your tractor. A little cumbersome to use but works well on soft soils. Not so good on blacktop however.
