9N Choke

My choke lever won't stay out unless I hold it. How is this supposed to work and am I missing something or do I need to adjust something. Thanks.

Bob,
The choke is spring loaded to return to open position.
You have to hold it out.

Your choke is supposed to return as soon as you let go! If all is right choke should be applied for just a couple of seconds and release! "On my '39, pull the choke, hit the starter, release the choke! Boom, she's running!" It should start in as much time as it takes to read what is in quotes!
