9N PTO stopped working

While using my 9N yesterday the 3 point hitch stopped lifting the blade. I checked the dip stick and there was plenty of fluid...but it was orange, indicating water and runs I believe, I drained the fluid from both the rear (PTO) area as well as the middle section (transmission) and re filled with new fluid. There was no change. I am hoping for someone to tell me it is an easy fix...or that it is time to take it in to the shop...

Hi Shaun, take the left inspection cover off, ( has pto lever) and look inside. There is spring that pulls the fork forward. Wonder if yours broke. Pulling the control valve out to the rear, is the lower position. Spring pulls the valve forward to raise.

I opened the side inspection plate where the lever is. The spring looks ok. Not sure what else to look for. Hopefully the pictures help...

When the vertical supply tube ruptures , no more lift.
When then gasket blows out where the dark spot in the picture is it wont lift either.

Agree, all true.
Suggest determine if the ends of the fork are moving the control valve itself with up and down commands on the touch control handle. The valve may be stuck.
Easiest is to drain the new fluid into a clean container, and look up through the pump drain plug hole, and see if the ends of the fork move right up to the pump.

Thank you so much everyone! It is now working. Here is what happened. With the inspection panel removed, the spring was on, but the lever it was connected to was not moving when I moved the float control lever up and down. I wiggled the wishbone looking thing until is started moving with the float lever. All of these parts certainly have more precise names...but I don't know what they are. Anyway, once I got it to move back and forth inside the housing, I replaced the inspection panel and it is working great. I could not have done it without you guys, so thank you very much!!
