Had the 9n out in the last two days with a King Kutter box grader that the old girl could hardly pick up. Tractor started running rough and would barely chug along after day two. I really beat the crap out of the old girl, and upon inspecting the engine found the resistor had cracked. Thanks to posts by Dell, the Soundguy and others I was able to redo the points wiring and clean the carb out. Many thanks guys. Two pops and I got 23 HP again.
