9N steering problems

I have a 41 9N. My steer tires continue to drift outwards while discing, then they will go back to straight position. To make myself more clear, when I hit a rut, it appears the right tire kicks out to the right and stays there until I hit another rut, then straightens back out. I beleive it to be in the gear box assembly.
Any help on where to begin would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The first question would be how much play is in thr steering wheel. If that is not excesive then the problem is not the steering box. next would be does it have the early style, non keyed steering arms on top of the spindles or the later keyed style. If they are keyed, is the key in there?
