A-C model B engine serial number

Mostly just curious but does this engine serial number say anything significant that I need to know before I attempt to start it?
Engine: BE32524G
Tractor is '39 model B serial no. B32317.
Thanks, Michael

Nope. Just a sequential number. Being a BE in a 39 it's probably the original block and would have been the smaller 116 vs the CE in the later tractors at 125 cubes.

Well, had to pull-start it but start, it did. Gave up trying to hand crank it. It would sometimes try to fire up but never would quite get going. After the pull, I shut it off and then hand-cranked it back up. Now I realize the kill-button on the mag doesn't work. What could cause that? Anyway, I don't know how to post video so you'll have to use your imagination but it sounds real good, 15 lb oil pressure and no smoke. Felt real good to hear. Michael

Do you have the mag wired to a switch? Maybe bad switch or the wire could be off inside the mag. Hook a wire to the grounding lug on the mag and see if grounding it will stop the tractor. That would eliminate the switch. I have the same year. Going to reinstall the mag and see if hand cranking works better. If not back to pull starting.

Update on the kill button on the mag not working. Problem was inside the mag; the spring on the moving side of the points extends down past where it is secured to where a pin on the cap will contact that. There is where the spark is shorted to ground when you press the stop button on the outside. I bent the spring a little to where it made contact like it should. All is good now. Thanks, Michael
