well its really hot and dry here. we are baling hay and for the grins , i got out the last roto baler i purcahsed , hooked it up to the 5000 Ford and away we went. worked like a charm, just kept dropping them on the ground. baled about 250 this evening.
brought back lots of memories as we used to bale thousands of those things every year. just an update and i hope it brings back memories to others as well

Just got mine out yesterday baled some sudangrass worked good. Also i tried 110 plastic twine and it work. Always wanted to know if it would work. Kinda fun to run to hear the bang and click and soon it kicked out a bale.

One of these days, I'd like to get Dad's baler out and make a few. He bought it new , I think ,in 48. We handel alot of round bales for Dad till he retired in 87. It has always been in, Dads gone now, and I kept it. My brothers thought it was just junk. But , I still farm , and while it don't fit with my style of farming, It is still my Dads baler. Every time I look at it , I think of him. Bruce

Brings back some great memories from the late 1950's, early 1960's. One of my uncles and his brother and father had an AC Roto Baler pulled by an AC WC.
They would sometimes forget to stop when the flag dropped or not see it drop. That made for a clogged chute. The belts were hard to adjust but worked great if you had them right. They would sometimes mess with it and it would put out small bales, miss twine and just spit hay out, etc.

thats kinda why i mess with mine, Dad bought one and we baled lots of hay, he always mowed and raked , but I or brother ran the baler. guess i do it in honor of him and what he taught me

Hi Bruce, dont blame you one bit,I would have kepted it too, good its still inside, and someday when life slows down for you,you can take it out and let her live again,I can only imagine the memories. Thanks for letting us see
