It was for easier access to the fuel tank. It may come off.Big power in there day, that gasser is sweet.
For what purpose was a step added below belt pulley ?

Barney was run out of southern Alberta a long time ago.did Barnie approve the tie downs ? Looks good and I had a 555 deisel and it was a 4bottom brute !
Well I happen to know where there are two still attached to tractors but they are a long way from where you are. I own one of them and the other one is at my neighbors house. Sorry I’m not much help to you.Nice looking tractors.Do you know where I could find an exhaust manifold for a 44-6?
And I had to haul that tractor a total of 4 miles on lonely gravel roads where I didn’t see a vehicle for hours.did Barnie approve the tie downs ? Looks good and I had a 555 deisel and it was a 4bottom brute !
U might have to check out other units that use that continental engine. Even some Lincoln 300 welders had the 6 cyl.Nice looking tractors.Do you know where I could find an exhaust manifold for a 44-6?
Did the diesel cost you a little more or same price up my way the diesel is a little more pricy I know this is off the subject I have a schaffer one way in the center is a hydrlic cylinder also a hand crank that adjust the blades up or down so why have a cylinderBrought home a couple more tractors for the collection. A 55 western special diesel and a 55 gas western special. Very little to be done to the gas but the diesel needs a bit of love. It does run nice. I paid less for the diesel because it needs some work and also it’s not painted. As far as your question about the Schaffer one way the hydraulic cylinder will make using it much easier.Did the diesel cost you a little more or same price up my way the diesel is a little more pricy I know this is off the subject I have a schaffer one way in the center is a hydrlic cylinder also a hand crank that adjust the blades up or down so why have a cylinder
