I am looking for a 7/8 SPARK PLUG WRENCH. not a socket, just a thin wall wrench. Not finding at local tool sources.
or even YT tools...

Could you grind the excess steel off the outside of a wrench to make it thin wall? I've ground many wrenches to fit a particular application.

Just a cheap tool, like this but 7/8. where do they sell them ?

i have a few of them old original spark plug wrenches. one side was for the w series plugs and other side for the d series, in champion.

el6147, Yes thats what I find.(not) 7/8' deep socket will work, but for around $20..!
This is the plug size in my Ferguson. And I think in my Case DC.

That's one of those things, I want to say there's one in every old abandoned toolbox I have around here, but if I went looking for one, I probably wouldn't be able to find one. I know I have a 7/8 spark plug socket with a 3/8 drive.

NAPA has them, in their Carlyle line of tools. The part number is SSP3824. I bought one last week, $US 6.99 plus tax.

One note: The SSP3824 fits 7/8 inch hex automotive plugs but its ID isn't big enough to accept a 7/8 inch hex aircraft plug.

Should have mentioned that the Carlyle SSP3824 is a 3/8 inch drive spark plug socket, 3 1/2 inch long with a 7/8 inch external hex so that it can be driven with a box or open-end wrench.

This might work

Based in the UK, but ship everywhere.

Not what you're describing, but I have one of these in every tractor toolbox.

Made from scrap - a junk road find cut down socket, a short piece of 3/4 pipe and part of a tailgate strap from a '68 Ford truck. I don't leave nice wrenches in my tractor tool boxes.

That's the kind of tool that usually comes with the machine as a courtesy. You get something like that in a tool kit with every ATV and UTV. It's cheap so if you lose it no big deal, and most were lost.

I didn't think you could buy them separately.

I just changed the plugs on my GMC.
Each spark plug required a different extension on the 16 mm socket..I had a long handle ratchet with a flex head. That was very handy..

I'm not strong enough to use the socket you are talking about..

I find that Old Engine/Steam/Tractor Shows are a good place to look for old tools.

My mistake, and I should have realized that 24/32 does not equal 7/8 when typing the number. The correct part number is SSP3828.

Sorry 'bout that.

I've got an offset box-end came with my 2N, about the only thing will work unless you remove the hood, been there forever
