Was just wondering why Case has to be compacted in with David Brown, and Ford has 3 separate and distinct categories.
maybe cause some david browns are dressed up in case clothes ? and all kinds of different fords. Was just wondering why Case has to be compacted in with David Brown, and Ford has 3 separate and distinct categories.
Cheap Cheap?SWAG...S is for scientific.......maybe more Fords were sold?????
Is this the best hair splitting thread you could come up with for this morning? So why does Farmall, International(Case IH) and McCormick have to survive in ONE forum? The Case/DB forum is probably fourth on my viewing priority list. I have not noticed that the posting traffic there is so “heavy” that it is difficult to sort through to find the posts of interest to me. One thing I am sure you will know or figure out if you do much viewing on the N board is the fact that N owners are a special breed. However, the rhetoric there has diminished somewhat over the last year or two. Secondly, Fordsons tractors are really there own breed. Was just wondering why Case has to be compacted in with David Brown, and Ford has 3 separate and distinct categories.
Well, at some point, certain parts bearing the name McCormick, Farmall and International all came out of the same mold. It is not unreasonable to combine these names under one group. But DB was an unrelated acquisition by Tenneco. Is this the best hair splitting thread you could come up with for this morning? Some later model Case tractors appeared to have some David Brown tractor characteristics such as outboard rear axle planetaries.Well, at some point, certain parts bearing the name McCormick, Farmall and International all came out of the same mold. They can do what they want.... it was just a curiosity to me , that's all.
I thought you were an across the board brand guy at least J.I. Case and IH both, meaning not necessarily a Case purist like jon f mn. But apparently still grinding an axe for something that was a done deal over 50 years ago.Well, at some point, certain parts bearing the name McCormick, Farmall and International all came out of the same mold. Figure of speech “grinding an axe” equals “holding on to a past item that irritated you” I know you say “just a curiosity” but my point would come from the camp of “if it ain’t broke no need to fix it”Grinding an axe? I fear that the phenomenon of misinterpeted messaging of text vs. speech is emerging here.
FAIL!merge em all by decade spans. itll help make those lonely folk less lonely.you got a 50s tractor, you gon git in that 50s forum.

i dunno maybe id like to see em mushed together, might pick up a few more zaney ideas... between emFAIL!
You mean they adjust like a top link? Seems plausible to me. Have problems with them snapping off? What kind of Ford is it? If it is an N post it on there and they will tell you how “UN-Henry” it is.i dunno maybe id like to see em mushed together, might pick up a few more zaney ideas... between em
speaking of mushed-thinking ......currently contemplating using some kobota 3pt level arms on my old ford rear.... noticed they twist from the center instead of the top handle... seems more robust...![]()

heheh, yes 850, wish i had thought of it earlier, before buying a replacement ford-logical one earlier, only came to mind as i was youtubing things and i noticed how much beefier the tin is on the kubota 3pt arms etc... very un-henry. absolutely un-henryYou mean they adjust like a top link?
