I just picked up an AC200 diesel at auction in good shape and have a few questions. I have to replace the coolant (it's not up to the winter freezing protection level I need) but cannot find the engine block drain where the manual says it should be (the photo in the manual shows it next to the fuel priming pump). I don't have a plug or drain at that location on the block.
Also, the manual says not to use multi-viscosity oil in the engine; I was intending to use 15W-40 in summer and likely HD 10W-30 in our cold Canadian winter. Any concerns with this, or ideas why the manual says not to use multi-viscosity oils.
Finally, is A-C Final Drive Gear Lube equivalent to modern day 80W-90, and do I have to be careful about using the GL-5 lubes? My older Massey cannot take the GL-5 category 80W-90 since it has bronze bushings, and I have to use straight 90W with a GL-1 rating. And I take it that A-C Power Fluid 821 is equivalent to a good trans-hyd fluid for this tractor.
Thanks in advance for any answers. I am really looking forward to working this tractor!
