AC B question

Friend just rebuilt a B engine and rebuilt the oil pump also.
Has very little oil pressure.
What is supposed to go in the end of the rocker arm tube to stop the oil from just flowing out?
Thanks

If it wasn't pouring rain I'd go out and look at a rocker arm I have from a C and tell you. Does he have the correct oil filter on it?? Wrong filter no or very low pressure

Never been inside an AC but the Buda rocker arm tube the ends were capped with a 5/8 welch plug. They also had a restricted tee where the external oil line went into the head. If replaced with an ordinary tee it would have low pressure and flood too much oil to the rockers.

A cork goes into the ens of the rocker shaft. After you change the oil filter it takes a few minutes for the pressure to build.

The rain has stopped so I went out and looked at the C rocker arm and it has some sort of metal plugs in each in. It appears there held in by a pin

Ted in NE-OH gave you the correct answer. Here is a cut from the B, IB, and C parts book

Is your gage factory or aftermarket? Those engines don't have a lot of pressure.
Also, the brand of filter can affect pressure reading. Ther is a restrictor that limits oil flow since it is a bypass filter.
