Trying to remove a piston and sleeve from a ca. I have been soaking this cylinder for a couple of months and can't get it to budge so i just want to remove and replace. My question is can i stick a rod up the piston from below and use a jack to push up or is there some other way to get this done. I only have small time windows to work on this and need to get it done.

Never tried that the last CA we rebuilt my dad welded up a puller but the piston was not in the sleeve, popped the sleeves out
great, not sure what you can do with the piston still in the sleeve, I am sure somebody on this site has tackled that problem
before.

15 minute job after the block is upside-down on 6 inch blocks of wood using the tools in the picture. Tools are 18" of a steel bar and a 10 pound hammer. Make sure you are on the sleeve edge and not on the block.
