AC Corn Head speed

I have been looking through all my old Gleaner combine and corn head books, For the life of me I can not find the gear box drive shaft speed any ware. I am going to adapt a AC corn head to a JD 95 and my JD book says the head drive shaft (chain drive corn special)is running at 428 or 470 rpms (will have to spot tack it to be sure)and I need to find the speed that the AC corn head runs at so I can figure out what size chain sprocket I need to put on the JD head drive shaft. I think the AC head runs at 1020 to 1140 rpms but I am not sure, That number is stuck in my head. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Bandit

What I am looking for is the RPMs of the gear box shaft ware the drive sprocket from the combine drives it. None of my books tell what that shafts RPMs is. I must say this is one of the harder things I have ever tried to look up and find out. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Bandit

according to the manual on our F3 the header drive shaft runs 582 with standard drive, variable is 538 to 754,the sprocket to drive corn head is a 25 tooth on the combine and a 30 or 35 tooth on a A438 head don't know if this is what you need, another source that could be of help is agco parts book web site enter the machine that the head was used on see what size sprocket was used, then click on the browse books button an look up the head to see what size sprockets were used on it you will still need to locate the shaft speed of the combine, the F3 manual has the shaft speeds located in the specifications section of the manual.

Thank you. This is a very good start to what I am trying to figure out. Its funny the G 820 book I just got off ebay dose not list any speeds for the gear box shaft on the corn head. That 1000 rpm number must have been what the guy told me the R42 head drive ran at. I was more worried about making the feeder house bolt up from the 95JD to the AC corn head than the speed that it ran at. The easy part will be getting the head and feeder house together and the hard part will be the speed of the drive. I do very much appreciate your help. Thank you Bandit
