In central KS I have been running the house AC for a couple of months. When it is 50 outside the inside climbs to about 65 and I start the AC, I consider the electricity the cost of confort ane well worth it.

Colder and drier than normal spring here in Sask. In fact I ran my furnace this morning as 64 degrees is well below my comfort zone in the house. This house is cool enough for me even in summer with no need for Airconditioning. Outdoors is getting up around 60 degrees but that endless Easterly wind makes it feel cold at times and yet it does not bring rain.

I try to test run air conditioners a few weeks before they will be needed. If any need service it is easy to get it repaired. If I wait unit the season begins and one does need service I'm at the back of the line behind everybody and his brother.

Cockeyed global warming. Still running the furnace at 70 degrees at night . Did we ever come to a conclusion on whether or not Ice melts at 70 below zero ?

Been a cold snowy winter and a cool spring in central ND. Still running the furnace. I think we've had one or 2 days 70 or above. I remember when I was in college 35 years ago that spring was HOT! I think we were in the 80s and hit 90s in March. Haven't had a hot spring like that in many years. Heck, we still have snow in some places! The section line down the road from us has 4 feet on it yet.
