Has anyone heard of Ace Industrial Supply, Inc.? Last week I received a call from a man telling me that he was sending me a Milwaukee Sawzall w/case some other tools & things for free was just calling to check my address. He read off my address and I told him that it was right.Yesterday ups came with 2 boxes of tools the Sawzall was there with the other things. There is no bill only invoice in my name. What is going on?

Can't say I ever heard of them but something smells fishy. Don't know what angle they be working but remember that old adage. If it sounds to good to be true it probably is. Id say handle with caution and wait for the sting. Rocko.

Ace industrial supply I found on Google located in California, Maybe a call on their 800 number would ease your mind, meanwhile better look for some reallllll fine print.

"My husband owned his own business running a dump truck. He was the sole proprietor, had no employees, and no other authorized personnel for conducting business 3 years after he dissolved this business, we got married and moved away. Since then he has had no ties to the business. No left over debts, no left over credit cards. Everything was dissolved.

A few days ago we received a packaged and the recipient"s name was the name of his business and the address was his former address but it had been forwarded to our current mailing address. It was a 5 sets of tools valued at more than 500 dollars and it was sent net30 (balance due in 30 days). It was dated earlier this month and we had not ordered it.

We called Ace Industrial and they said that someone did order and that if we want to send it back we have to pay to send it back ourselves. The balance was due if we did not send it back within 14 days of the purchase date which had already passed by the time we received it.

We told them we did not order it. And pointed out that it was sent not to our name but to a business that was dissolved. The phone number they had as a contact number for us had not been used in 3 years and the address they mailed it to had not been used in the same amount of time. The CSR (Customer Service Rep) didn"t care and said that the money was due anyway. We asked why they would send something so valuable out net 30 without more information as to our credit. And they weren"t able to give us the information. THey would not tell us if it was ordered on the phone, internet, etc.

I don"t know what kind of business they are running. But it sounds like they are making it up as they go. They send expensive materials out and make you pay to send it back and threaten to send it to collections if you don"t pay. What I want to do is sell the tools and never let them see a cent. Thats what they get for sending hundreds of dollars of tools in the mail to a business that doesn"t exist. Too bad I have a conscience and don"t want my credit to be dented by these criminals."

I found this on another website and thought you should see it. Jim.

It seems to me, that if you recieve unsolicited
merchandise via U.S. Mail, such as address
labels, key chains, greeting cards...anything?
such as from disabled vets, charitys...you can
keep it. But I don't know about UPS
I would maybe take it back to Post Office, UPS
marked "REFUSED"..if you still have the original
box/packing.

Get calls from them all the time. I bought some saw blade from them one time in a weak moment. Weren't any cheaper or better than I could have gotten locally. Another time they had a deal where they had tools given from manufactures as samples and they needed to move them out or so they said. I was to get a box valued at over $500 for free. I should have known better but said ok. It came but so did the bill for it. 30 days net is the way they want to do it always. The Skil saw that was supposed to be a $200 value was a refurbished one worth $19 locally. The rest was pretty much the same kind of swap meet junk tools. It took a lot of heated calls before I finally got them to take it back but I think I ended up paying the return shipping. They are the pestiest people on the phone. Don't like to take no for an answer and always have a better deal on quantities if you don't bite on the first line. I just tell them I am not n the business anymore and they hangup real fast or if I catch their number on the caller ID, I don't answer. The always open with the same line about how hard it is to get ahold of me and then come with a joke about a bikini gal.

Forgot to add, when he called to ask if that was your correct address, they take it as an authorization from you that you ordered it. Got to watch what they ask.

Thirty some years ago a company sent me a set of 3/4 in. sockets. I nevered ordered them and in 30 days they sent me a bill. I told then that I didn't order them and they told me to pay the postage and send them back. I told them that they were at the address they sent them to and they could come and pick them up anytime. They ended up sending me a letter that if I didn't pay for them that they were going to send it to a collection agency. I sent them a registered letter explaining everything and where the tools were and how to get them and I have never heard from them again and I still Have the sockets.

Did you sign for it?
If you did then you may get a bill in the mail.....$234 due at the end of the month.
If you signed it Elmer J. Fudd and the UPS driver handed it to you, then tell ACE that your real name is NOT Elmer J. Fudd.
As long as your real name isnt Elmer Fudd.

Tell them to come and get them by certified mail, and inform them that the storage bill is adding up by the day. 5 dollars a day should be about right. If they want them back they will send a pick up tag.

SCAM!!!!! You just authorized an order by verifying the address. You will be getting a bill. They do this and then bill net due thirty.

They have tried to get me on this several times over the years. They usually are selling refurbished stuff that is worth 1/3 what they try to sell it for.

I have refuse delivery once on them. The UPS guy was not happy about that. It made him have a whole bunch of paper work.

I brought a over head light reel from them 2001 are so,,, it was a P.O.S. even tho it was a name brand reel... I sent it back exchange for a overhead air hose reel,,, the reel was a cheap reel but has served me well so I am happy...

I slap forgot about then till about a year ago,,, I got a call and was told I was a preferred customer and could get anything I wanted no money up front they would send it to me... Something did not seam right (to good to be true) so I passed and will not talk to them when they call... Got a call last week...

Fortunately, based on what I've read on here and other internet sites, I've ever had any dealings with them. If I were you I'd send them a certified letter stating that there must have been some kind of misunderstanding and that I did not want the tools they had sent me. As such I was sending them back and they should be expecting to see them in short order. Then box everthing back up and take it all to the nearest shipping place and have them sent back to Ace 'postage due'. I've sent many things to people like this over the years with no problems. Since they have nothing on you but a phone call where they tell you the items are 'free' they have no recourse but to either accept the items back and pay for the shipping themselves or let them stay in limbo by not paying for the shipping. Regardless of what they do, they have nothing telling you you need any kind of RO#, or anything else to use against you in an attemtp to coerce you into paying them, so basically your off the hook for any charges they may try to stick you with because you sent the product back to them. Wether they chose to pick them up and pay to get them back is entirely their choice.
