I'm wondering how hard it'd be to add a set of front remotes to my Case 930. I've asked before but was wondering because of PS issues and if I could upgrade to a bigger PS pump that could then provide a set of circuits for some front hydraulics as well. I've gotten past the PS problem now and I am wondering if I could just purchase a hydraulic pump that's powered from a belt upfront and then give myself a set of remotes to use from that.
Seems straight forward enough, just can't seem to find folks doing it. Might just be looking in all the wrong places. But it seems I should be able to just get a hydraulic pump that's powered of a belt, find a spot to mount it, and get it all hooked in. Then it's just a matter of plumbing in some hydraulic lines, a filter, a relief value, and then some levers to control the new remotes.
Couple reasons for wanting this:
1) My rear hydraulics is shot, just a slow ooze. 3pt is broke too. I've invested more hours than I want in trying to figure that out and I'm at the point where I am fairly certain the answer involves tearing apart that whole backend and frankly that's more than I have the skills or time or money for. If I can't at least get this machine to run a bucket for me, it's useless and I'll need to accept my losses and sell it
2) Even if I had rear hydraulics, I hate the setups where I gotta run my bucket off rear hydraulics and then decide "do I want a bucket that works or do I want an implement that works today?". Some days I want both at the same time
3) Even if the rear hydraulics worked, there are very few jobs I'm going to be asking of this tractor which would sap much HP, it oughta have enough excess power to run another hydraulic pump for me without seeing any negative. Plus just don't use the front hydraulics if you really have a demanding power requirement
As or mounting,well I figure I can just find a spot to slap a pump in, or I could still pull out that PS pump and put in something with a bit more oomph to run more than just the steering. Anyone doing this and have some ideas for me or good places to start?
