Adding courtesy lights

I have this old Dodge that I want to put courtesy lights and red safety lights in the door panels. I thought I could hook into the door switch for power but it is a bit more complicated and I'm not the electrician I thought I was..the wires to the dome light are under the floor mat..where should I go from here I want the courtesy lights to work from both doors and the red safety lights door by door..any wiring gurus here?

Probably need to add additional door switches for each application.

That is a "ground-searching" circuit.

Hot to bulbs at all times; the ground side hooks to the jamb switches.
