adding hyd to JD D

I'm thinking of getting a JD D but was wondering if I could add hyd to it as I'm getting to the point where I want the convivence of having it on the tractor

Pretty sure the late D's had hydraulics as an option. If you don't care about it being original equipment a system could be built from scratch.

Going by JD Parts Catalog Power Trol was offered from serial number 143800 (1939) onward as an option.

A fellow I know thinks a later kit was offered for D's made 1939 and up versus being available in 1939, 1940, and up.

One route would be to find a factory option hyd. pump that installs between the governor housing & magneto. Then custom build the rest of the system(reservoir, SCV, breakaway coupler, & hoses)
