Adjusting wagon elevator chain, AC Model 35

You can find suggestions on slack for a shorter chain but on a long
one like that its sort of debateable up to the point of being way too
loose or way too tight. When you have a long chain driven from the
bottom like that I would say adjust so that it droops no more than an
inch underneath in the center when its not running, when it runs with
a load it will pull up tight underneath and all your slack should be
on top. I think it will run fine with more slack but if it can jump a
tooth then its too slack.
That doesn't tell you much, but its all I got.
