I bought an aftermarket radiator some years ago for the Fergie TO 30 and recently noticed it is cracking at the bottom hose port where it meets the radiator. Can I reasonably assume solder will work for a repair or am I just wasting my time? TIA for any replies jfox

Solder should work as long as it is compatable materials

Ha! who knows about the materials
?? maybe only the eastern Europeans, I think that is where it comes from

If it is an older aftermarket radiator made of copper or brass, a proper solder job should hold up well. However, if it is a modern aluminum unit, soldering won't work and you'll likely need to replace it. Clean the area thoroughly before you try anything.
