My neighbor has a 6680 with the Deutz air cooled diesel engine. Even with a brand new battery, it needs a jump in the really cold weather, then it starts right up. He leaves a side panel off the tractor in the winter to get at the battery.

It doesn have a blockheater. I think it has some type of manifold heater but I am not sure and just wondering how will that worked.
I have a 1962 deutz 3 cylinder air cooled tractor with the intake heater and if the battery is any good it will start when it’s -25 Celsius. It’s always been a really good starting and all round great tractor.

How will does a Agco 5680 with Deutz diesel start in cold weather?
Is that actually a Duetz engine? It is my understanding that the Same tractors had their own air cooled engines, even though Same and Deutz were (and still are) part of the same parent corporation.
