AGM battery maintainer

As the title indicates what is an affordable AGM battery maintainer. This is for a Can-Am side-by-side. I have some other maintainers but they don't mention using them on AGMs

I've had good luck with the Noco Genius 1 charger/maintainer. It's user selectable for flooded cell, AGM or lithium (also 6 volt flooded cell) batteries.

Well worth the $30 or so I paid...

We have AGM's in our motorcycles, they don't need maintainers, but we don't have anti-lock brakes. If there isn't a parasitic drain they shouldn't need a maintainer. I charge ours in Oct, they're fine in April when we get home. On our 13 Chevy Silverado I unhook one battery cable, because of the computer. I don't like to leave anything plugged in when I'm not home.

The G3500 looks good but seems to be more than needed for maintenance. The Battery Tender Junior won't be in stock (Amazon) for 10 days and too late for a stocking stuffer. So, I went with the Noco Genius 1. Russ, I understand being leery leaving the area for the whole winter but we stay near home anymore. It's pretty to look out the patio door and see the snow on the cedar trees.

HF has one rated for AGM charger/maintainer. Listed now for $27.00 It will not charge a dead battery, but it was on my camper all summer and worked fine.

Please educate me. Why is an AGM specific charger required for an AGM battery? I have been using a standard 12 volt trickle charger for years on a AGM battery in a jet ski with no apparent issues. Thanks

This is what I just bought for charging small batteries, seems to work well, but once it says the battery is charged I unhook it.

Hello spacecadet9,

Look at the specs for battery tender plus.It is a 1.25 amps charger, starts charging when battery
voltage droppes below 12.6, and stoppes charging around 14v?

Same here. I've been using a standard Battery Tender Jr. on AGM batteries for 8 years without any issues.
