All Crop 90 fan

Hello. I’ve combine oats and soy beans with our all crop 90 and it never seems to get the grain very clean. Everything I read, I should add more air and have the veins open all the way up and I’ve never had problem blowing seeds out the back. I just realized the other day that I can speed the fan up moving shims to the inside of the pulley. Can anybody tell me what they’re set up is like on their pulley how many shims you run on the outside and how many around the inside? Thankyou!

I Don't have or Ever used a 90. But I have the manuals for it. The Shims that you are talking about I think are for Adjusting how far the belt rides in the pulley. It can change the speed of the fan. But the Cylinder Speed is what has to adjusted when you change crops
See the scans I have from the Operators and Parts Manuals

Thankyou for the replies. I have the manual and it doesn’t talk about fan speed requirements. Does your 72 have the same type pulley? When I do my experiment with changing shims I am going to tach the fan and see how much it changes. I just never changed it because it doesn’t look like it’s been changed. The paint isn’t chipped at all. But I am thinking ours doesn’t have allot of acres through it either. I just figured you should be able to blow oats out if everything is wide open and I cannot. We do beans next year and I want as much air as possible and then close the gains down…????
