All-Crop combines

Does anyone know what kind of wood A-C used for the wooden parts of the All-Crop combines? I am restoring a model 72. I would think oak would be a good choice, but I'm not sure that is what the factory used. thanks

I have never seen the insides of an all crop but I’m guessing oak would have been used for the sieve frame if wood was used there and any other structural wood. Oak is strong and more flexible than other woods. The reel bats are probably some kind of a lighter weight wood but not oak. Wooden bearings are usually maple if I am thinking straight.

Straw rack more of a soft wood. On the 60 I took the racks out of several junk machines and using best parts of all made a good rack. And would was easy to nail.

There used to be a guy post on here named Tom Yaz. He made reproduction parts for all-crop combines. I'll include a link to his website. I bet he would know.
