Allis 175 tractor

Hello. I just bought an allis 175 gas tractor which I've found is kind of rare, tractor data says only around 1000 built. How can I tell it has the correct motor installed? There is a stamped number next to the carb that says "75-1828-" anyone know which motor that is?

That stamping by the carb on the block should have a "V" code on it. Original Allis engine for a 175 gas is a 4" bore, 4.5" stroke 226 ci, 8.25:1 compression G226. Mike

Sounds correct. 4-cylinders with the carb on the left side. That is the "G-226" engine of the last version they made. 60 HP at the PTO at 1800 loaded RPM.
