I have a 8.5 in clutch. Can I run a 9in if I change the pressure plate. A nine looks like it would fit. Or do I need a new fly wheel too. Or should I just say with the 8.5 Thanks for any help.

It would depend on if the 9 inch clutch disk would fit inside of the bolts that hold the pressure plate on and it would have to also match the pressure plate

I guess what I am asking. Is the fly wheel different on a 8.5in and the nine. My pressure is bad. Will a 9in bolt up or are the holes in the fly wheel different spacing?

The flywheel is not the same.

The other guy says they are different on that I can not be sure. When I do things I compare parts but not all people have a bunch of old parts laying around like I do

The smaller pressure plate will hold more than the large one..IF you get one with More Springs, or stronger springs..
