Allis C Steering Box

I"ve got a C with a narrow fornt end and I"m wanting to put a wide fornt on it cause I"ve got a good set of culitvators for a B.My question is will a B front end work with steering box on the C or will have to find a C fornt end haven"t found neither one yet just looking for advice on which way to go.

I had a C with a B front end that the PO had cut the drag link of both front ends and welded them together so that the drag link was on a steep diagonal. It was ugly and did not have a good turning radius. The B and C steering boxes turn in opposite directions. I do have a B box available if you are interested, but I think a C WF would be the nicest way to go if you can find one. I put a NF back on my C because I personally like them better.

There is a missing spline on the ones I have been around that prevents turning the arm around unless it was filed out or something. I think they maybe made them that way so the arm could only go on the shaft in the one spot where it would turn left and right equally.

I have a C with a B adjustable wide front. I cut the arm off on the steering box but left the round splined part on the box and then cut the arm off of a B box and welded it to the splined part of the C and ground it smooth and it looks factory. The arm must point up or it will steer backwards. Mine steers sharper than a B and much easier than a B. I got the Idea from Swinfords book. Allis Made a B/C prototype and I coppied it. I don't know how to post pics here but if you email me I can send pics. You use the factoru B steering arm that goes from the gearbox to the frontend and yes it's at quite an angle.
