Allis CA Slow Hydraulics

My '53 CA runs great, the hydraulics work, but are really, really slow picking up my disk. It seems to improve a bit as it gets warmed up, but still too slow to suit me. I've had the pump apart, all seems fine, I've got the adjustment at the front of the pump all the way out, and it's still slow.

What type and weight of oil are you using in it?? If your using the 80W-90 switch to hy-tran and the speed will improve a whole lot.

I can't even remember what's in it now, I've ran a few gallons through it, it had a little water in it, I pulled the pump, etc..re-packed the lift arms. What weight is the hy-tran?

Not sure what the weight of it is but its made to be used in both trannys and hyd systems so it works well in the CA, B and C Allis tractors. I use it in my Cs
