Its been idling up on its own i was pulling a 1411 new holland diskbine and when the pto was ingaged it seemed like it had no throttle response and would sorta pop and crack i was running in 5 powershift and slow range it has always done fine before. When pto is disengaged it runs better but still feels like its lacking something. Its a powershift and 426 any thoughts?..this ones good me confessed if you need additional information ask thank.

Not sure what you mean by "idling up". Are you having engine RPM control problems or transmission slip problem? As I recall, 5th speed was a weak spot in that tranmission. If you think it's a trans problem, try pulling the same load in 1st hi instead of 5th lo. The ground speed is pretty close to the same. Engine/PTO performance will be the same, so if that makes a difference, you probably have a weak 5th speed. Also, has anything been replaced in the powershift valve to your knowledge? They were notorious for linkage problems in the earlier models. Does the lever feel any different around 4th and 5th compared to what you remember from before this problem? You could have an issue there as well.

A little more on what the problem is would help, I'm not sure if you are having a trans or engine/power problem. If it is a power problem it could be sucking air in the fuel system somewhere. I had that with my 7045, it was sucking air at the primer pump.... No visible leak but gushed fuel when you tried using the pump, a primer repair kit fixed it. It ran fine but anything that required much power really bogged it down, like running a round baler as the bale got bigger or running uphill, idling or just driving on flat ground it sounded and worked fine.

Sorry for the lack of info..its a engine
power issue..today i replaced the primer
pump because i tried replaceing the fuel
filter and once i did the primer pump
would not pump it back up and before it
went completely out i have noticed that it
gushed fuel as yours did. In a few days i
will be round baleing and i will see if all
problems have been fixed.
mine as well has had the same issues as
yours thanks for the info
