With regard to the prior post on this subject, try turning the key to the left for about 60-90 seconds. If everything in the electrical system is original, this heats up the air horn pre-heater, for cold weather starts.

Correction to the above post! Turn the key to the right, like you would start a regular tractor, to preheat for 60-90 seconds, let it spring back, then start with the button.
