I read somewhere that only (about) 100 were ever built and the original 4 cylinder engine wasn't very good and most repowered with a 4-53 or 4-71 Detroit. Some say the 426 from a D-21 was used for repowering, but I cannot say that for sure.

I have been having a debate with a gentlemen who says 98 were built and tractor data
and history of Allis Chalmers FWD tractor say only 15 were produced and sold in farm
tractor model (T16 Sugar Babe). The tractor was known to have engine and transmission problems.
