Allis Engines serial numbers

Does anyone know what years Allis installed the serial numbered engines: BE-43946 thru BE-46895 ? I think they all probably went in Model B tractors. Where was the SR stamped ? Thanks in advance for replies.

While the serial numbers are not consecutive because of the number of engines used in stationary and mobile power units, Bryan Smith has done a significant amount of research and has posted the results on his web page.

I think the serial number is stamped into the back of the block above the torque tube.

According to the list those engines would have been produced and appeared in 1940 tractors.
