Allis G engine torque spec ?

Trying to set crankshaft end play. Have the service manual but it does not have the torque spec for the crankshaft pulley bolt. Have found nothing on line except standard bolt torque charts. Does anyone have a torque spec for this bolt ? I would rather have the correct torque if there is one.

There is a possibility there isn't one. So move to option #2 Determine bolt size lets say one inch, fine thread, hardened. You can look that up and it will give you an idea like 125ft lbs. This method has saved me at least once

I think its 2 ugga-duggas with the impact, or a few goods umpffs with the 1/2" torque wrench. I cant remember. Id just go with what JOCCO said.

That sounds better than tightening till it strips and that backing it off a quarter turn.

No a quarter turn to much and snap it or the end of crank off Then have to drill it out of the crank! One must think positive all the time

The only thing I am positive about is the engine is in the wrong place.

Those Allis g was a good machine. yes they were different and unique.

When I have no spec, I tighten it till I think it is tight for the size of fastener with some red lock-tite.
