Allis HD5 power loss

My HD5 starts to flutter and lose power after working it for between 30 to 60 minutes. I thought that it may have been heating up so I removed the radiator to check it out and found it to be in good shape so I cleaned it good inside and out. Removed the water pump to be sure the impeller was operating as it should and it was. Removed the oil cooler, soaked it in solvent and cleaned it good. Found no thermostat in it so I installed one. Replaced all only to have it do the same thing. When starting cold there are no bubbles in the radiator to indicate a head gasket problem and no oil in coolant or coolant in the oil. I have changed oil and filter as well as the 1st stage fuel filter. The dozer runs good for about 30 to 60 minutes and then starts to miss, flutter and lack power. It will do this for a short time and then continue to run good for awhile until it flutters again. As you keep running it the dozer progressively gets worse until it is missing to the point of almost dieing and lacks power to even turn the machine but will continue to run intermittantly to get it back to the barn. The exhaust is white and it doesn't blow any black or blue smoke even when missing. After sitting for awhile it can be worked again until it starts to flutter and miss. If it dies when it is in this shape it will start right back up. I'm at a loss of what the problem could be now.

It could be as simple as some debris in the fuel tank that is partially blocking the outlet from the tank. My son had a similar problem with a fuel injected VW van. After much cost trouble shooting the problem we found a small piece of rolled up cardboard stuck in the outlet from the tank. His van would start up and run fine for about 5 miles and then start to die. If he turned it off for about 15 minutes it would run fine again for about 5 miles and do the same thing again. We probably wasted about $300 before we found the problem.

I do not know how easy it is to get to the fuel lines on the HD5 but I would start at the tank pulling the fuel lines loose and making sure they are unobstructed and keep working your way to the pump.
